Thing #3

The major way that teachers communicate with the students is verbally, but there are other occasions where the teachers need to communicate with the students through the use of technology. There will be students that need to be absent for different reasons in class. We need to keep them updated using blogs. For example, I am going to teach Spanish. Some students learn observing, listening, talking or practicing. There are different ways that the students can stay academically strong, and the exam can be part of the grade.  For conversation, I will go to post Spanish videos, assignments and vocabulary. I believe that blogs will be very good tools in my teaching. Using blogs to comunicate with student, parents and collegues can
encourage them to socialize, which promotes student succes.

  1. I agree with you that blogging can be a very useful form of communication between parents/students and the teacher. It is a less formal setting than the standard webpage for grades and assignments so it seems that the communication is in a conversational tone rather than a directive from the teacher.
