One More Thing

Doing this blog motivate me to work hard, with the purpose of being successful in my school as well as I found this tool very helpful in my future career. Communicating through blogs, among students, teachers and principals, can increase good social relations, and increase knowledge in determinate areas
There are many things that I like from 23 Things. The most interesting is the interaction between software. For example, I can post documents, videos, flowcharts, programs, etc. There are a lot of tools that I learned to use. Now I believe that teaching other people can be rewarding, because you will be able to see the results.  Teaching other languages requires different strategies, and there are a variety of resources on the internet.  Once students learn to use these tools I think they will be able to use them on a daily basis. For example, students can use these tools for homework and activities. This exercise was easy and can improve students’ knowledge. The only hard part in doing this activity is that people need time and dedication to do it and learn.  I believe that these programs can improve if there are updates every year. Doing this blog motivates me.

Thing #23

I was playing around with APSU's 23 Things page, and I understand the purpose of this website. I believe that this page and its tools can teach other teachers from other countries. I used APSU's 23 Things page and Google Translate to share these two websites with other people that do not speak English. Google Translate keeps the author's rights and the originality of their work. I believe that teachers could use Creative Commons, sharing different websites, using different tools from internet sources to teach and learn other languages.

Thing #22

Spanish Education

I believe that LiveBinder will be a very good tool for my students, because learning another language requires different strategies. On the internet there are variety of free resources that students can use to learn Spanish. In the classroom I will teach a variety of topics, and some students probably need extra help. I believe that these resources can help my students, when they need it, to practice Spanish or other subjects.

Thing # 21

Create your own video slideshow at animoto.com.

Creating this aminoto video was easy. You only need to follow a few steps and you are done and ready to share your video. This kind of video will help me in my classroom, because students need to learn the Spanish culture and languages in a fun way.

Thing # 20

There are videos that will be able to help me (Spanish / English) in my career with my students. Teach other languages require different strategies. YouTube can give me lot help with students that have problems learning the language. Teachers can help students in a fun way through videos. For example, students can practice grammar, reading, writing and listening.

Thing #19

Joining a particular social network can improve interaction between students, parents, and colleagues in a subject.
There are popular social networks that can help you with communication between friends. I joined teacher pop because I am learning about creating and joining social networks. The social network that appealed to me is lastfm, because I can hear music from different parts of the world. At this moment I do not have any interest in  following  social networks.

Thing # 18

In my opinion, Facebook or Twitter are very good tools because they can improve social interaction between students, parents, and colleagues. Technology has been moving forward, encouraging communication through social networks. I believe that teaching other languages or other subjects requires different strategies, and these two social networks have the key for students’ motivation in this decade. The statistics respecting these two tools indicated that people are more motivated to talk and learn through these pages. It is important in a teacher to keep professional distance between students, teachers and parents in order to interact in a particular subject.

Thing # 17

I was playing around with APSU's 23 Things del.icio.us page, and I understand the purpose of this website. A few months ago I created a del.icio.us account for my communication class, and I read my classmates’ and professor’s posts. I believe that del.icio.us will be great tool in my career, because teachers, students, and parents need to have a single channel for the purpose of seeing the tools that I use to help students, teachers and vice versa.
